Free shipping on all orders
We offer free shipping on every order across India. No minimum order value. No hidden charges. What you see at checkout is what you pay.
Where we ship
We ship within India only. We do not ship internationally at this time.
Order processing time
Once your order is placed and payment is confirmed, we process and dispatch it within 3–5 business days. Business days are Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays.
Processing time is separate from delivery time. Your order needs to be packed, quality checked, and handed over to our courier partner before it begins its journey to you.
If you place an order over a weekend or on a public holiday, processing begins on the next business day.
Estimated delivery time
Once dispatched, we work with our courier partners to get your order to you as quickly as possible. Delivery timelines vary depending on your location, the courier partner assigned, and factors outside our control.
We do not commit to fixed delivery dates. What we do commit to is dispatching your order promptly and doing everything we can to ensure it reaches you without unnecessary delay.
Unforeseen circumstances — high order volumes, weather disruptions, courier backlogs, public holidays, or events beyond our control — can occasionally cause delays. When this happens, we request your patience and cooperation. We assure you your order is on its way.
Courier partners
We ship via Shiprocket, which automatically assigns the most suitable courier partner for your location — typically Delhivery, XpressBees, or DTDC. We always pick the fastest available option for your pincode.
Order tracking
Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking link. Use this to follow your order in real time on the courier partner's website.
Please check your spam or promotions folder if you do not receive the email within 24 hours of dispatch. If you still cannot find it, email us at hello@backbenchtheory.com with your order number and we will share the tracking details manually.
Cash on delivery (COD)
We do not offer cash on delivery at this time. We accept prepaid orders only via UPI, debit/credit cards, and net banking — all processed securely through Razorpay.
Failed delivery attempts
If our courier partner is unable to deliver your order due to an incorrect address, unavailability, or failure to collect, they will attempt redelivery. After multiple failed attempts, the package may be returned to us.
If your order is returned to us due to a failed delivery that was not our fault — incorrect address provided, repeated unavailability — we will reach out to you. Reshipping the order will incur an additional shipping charge.
Please double-check your delivery address carefully before placing your order.
Delays and exceptions
Backbench Theory is not responsible for delays caused by courier partners, strikes, natural events, or any other circumstances outside our control. In such cases, please track your order using the link provided and contact the courier partner directly for updates.
If your order has not moved for more than 7 days after dispatch, reach out to us at hello@backbenchtheory.com and we will investigate with the courier partner on your behalf.
We are a small team that genuinely cares about getting your order to you. If something goes wrong, talk to us first — we will always try to find a solution.
